Project and Programme Management

Tawa has a firm belief that in order to ensure the delivery of value from projects, a formalised project management approach is key. Tawa has demonstrated that projects can be delivered within time, on plan and to budget, from our own large scale systems and business transformation programme. The key elements of a successful approach are based upon the principle that all projects should have:

  • Visibility and an awareness that the project exists
  • A senior business sponsor who takes responsibility
  • Clear aims, objectives and business case
  • A plan for how the benefits will be realised
  • A consistent project management style
  • An identified project manager with a defined level of discretion
  • All necessary change handled via review of the business case
  • Management by exception, not by too many meetings
  • The project delivered to clear and predefined quality criteria

Tawa uses a PRINCE2 based approach to project management and has a number of PRINCE2 qualified project managers.
